Terms of Service

FirstUsers is a directory where founders can list pre-launch and live startups, and where visitors can join waitlists, claim launch offers, and discover new products. We do not build, sell, or operate the products listed on the Service.

You can create an account using your email address. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

When you submit a startup, you grant FirstUsers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display the content (logo, screenshots, descriptions, offers) on the Service and in marketing materials such as our weekly roundup. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload. We may remove or reject any submission for any reason, including spam, misleading claims, or content we deem inappropriate.

When a visitor signs up to a startup's waitlist or unlocks a launch offer, their email and basic metadata (location, referrer, device) are shared with the founder of that startup. Founders are responsible for using this data lawfully under applicable privacy laws. Visitors should only submit emails to startups they are happy to share their contact details with.

Some features (Featured Launch, Sidebar Sponsorship) are paid. Prices are shown at checkout. All sales are final unless required by law. We may change pricing at any time for future purchases.

You agree not to: scrape the Service, attempt to reverse engineer it, submit false or misleading listings, impersonate another person or company, upload malware, or use the Service to harass anyone. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee any particular number of signups, conversions, or visibility for any listing. We are not responsible for the products, services, or claims of any startup listed on the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FirstUsers' total liability to you for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the previous 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify users via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
